A Merry Holiday

This annual holiday is unimaginable and unforgettable. It is magical and delightful. It’s Christmas. Oh, how I love the smell of fresh gingerbread men coming out of the oven, The sound of fire crackling in the fireplace, and the minty taste of  candy cane in my mouth. Every year Christmas is different, different ornaments, different presents, and different memories. However two things never change, the Christmas feast and decorating the Christmas tree.

The Christmas feast is one of the best meals of the year. In the appetizer course of the meal we eat some delicious and flavorful fried shrimp. In my favorite course, the main course, there is a juicy and tender prime rib. I can easily remember the taste of it, tantalizing my taste buds. Also included in the main course is a bowl of scrumptious mashed potatoes. Served with a mouthwatering homemade gravy. Last is the desert course consisting of a sweet and yummy apple pie.

I remember the first time I decorated Chirstmas tree. Sadly, it was a fake. but still we decorated it. We ussually put on the homemade ornaments such as painted ornaments and those ornaments we bring home from school. My favorite ornament is one of Santa standing up holding a present. After we put on the ornaments we put on the Cristmas lights that flash on and off as if they were dancing presenting thier brilliant colors. Finally we put on the Christmas tree topper, a magestic angle.

Now I hope you understand why I love Christmas so much, the feast, the decorations, and the gathering of a family on this special occasion. I wish every day was Chirstmas so I can enjoy this great holiday every day. And remember Santa is always watching you.
